What's New!      UPDATED January 1, 2019

1. Wildschoenau, Austria
.....Hiking the Romantic Wildschoenau Valley

To spend a vacation in the Wildschoenau in Austria is to experience a lush valley whose people have kept alive many customs, long forgotten in other places. Known for its wild beauty, this valley embodies "pristine" Alpine living.

This valley was practically cut off from the outside world until the end of the 19th century, accessible only with difficulty over the mountains. Today all of that has changed with the modern road from Woergl into the Wildschoenau valley. This tour is based in the village of Oberau, where the true history of the Wildschoenau community began. A hiker's paradise, with over 180 miles of maintained hiking and walking trails for every difficulty level.

Guided hikes are offered in three categories, ranging from 2-3 hours to over 4 hours with the demanding mountain hike choice. Waiting for you at the end of the day is the Hotel Tirolerhof with all of their Tyrolean hospitality.

Included services:

- 7 night stay at Hotel Tirolerhof in Oberau with breakfast and 4 course dinner and choice of entree

- Wildschoenau Card: free use of gondolas, various cultural museums and attractions and discounts for transportation in the valley
